This place isn't that great. The food was mediocre as it was slightly too salty. Although the sashimi was not bad, it was not worth the price in my opinion. I think that its standards have diminished due to this place being a tourist spot over the year. Actual Score Overall: 2.6/5 Thoughts: It's not a bad place if you wish for an easy lunch near the area, but I would recommend you try another restaurant due to its price point being too expensive for its quality.

Kinmedai (golden eye snapper) was the specialty in Ito, so that was all we had and it didn’t disappoint. Sushi was so fresh we had a second serving. Its red skin didn’t alter the taste nor the texture. Its flesh was umami with a hint of natural smokiness. Even when simmered, its flesh retained these characteristics. The broth was light and rounded up this dish very nicely. Freshly grated wasabi (DIY) added the finishing touch. Warm and hospitable service by a Nepalese gentleman (who spoke English).

The two most popular sets of the restaurant - the sashimi on rice and the kinmedai set (sashimi and braised). Fresh and delicious.

Fatty tuna don is very nice! However the 金目鯛魚 set is even better! It’s an 15 min walk from the train station so can get you enough exercise to eat more.
